How to switch from Hosting Mode to Traveling Mode on Airbnb

If you’re planning on creating your first listing on Airbnb, you might be wondering, do I need to download a whole separate app to manage my listing? The answer is no! Thankfully, Airbnb has made it easy for Hosts and Guests to all use the same app and website for Airbnb, whether you are trying to book a stay for your vacation, or managing your listing. You simply have to switch between the two separate “modes” to be able to access the different features available for each one.

If you want to log into the Hosting Mode on a computer, first you have to become a host. Once you have your hosting account, all you have to do is either log into your account at airbnb.com/hosting or go to airbnb.com and simply click on the button that says “Switch to hosting” that will appear next to your profile picture on the top right hand side of your Airbnb homepage.

If you want to switch back to Traveling Mode on a computer, all you have to do is either go to airbnb.com or click on your profile picture, and select “Switch to hosting” from the dropdown.

If you are using a mobile device, you can download the Airbnb mobile app. Once you are logged in, if you already have a hosting account, you will see a black button that says “Switch to hosting” at the bottom of the Profile section on your traveling account, or a black button that says “Switch to traveling” at the bottom of the Menu section on your hosting account.
